Founder and Managing Partner of Fairway Search Partners, Uzair Bawany has been invited onto the London Regional Leadership Group of the Mosaic Network, a charity set up by HRH Prince of Wales.
Through various mentoring programmes in schools and prisons, undertaken by volunteers from various professions, Mosaic aims to help isolated young people across the UK realise their potential through education and enterprise.
Last year Uzair was a lead mentor at Mosaic where he helped plan, organise and manage sessions involving five other mentors and twenty mentees. With the success of his work and his leadership skills, he has been asked to become more involved, helping Mosaic achieve its aim of social integration.
Commenting on his work with the charity, Uzair says: “ It stems from a key principle of mine; helping others. That is essentially what I have been doing throughout my professional life; helping people find the right career opportunities. With Mosaic I am pleased to be able to give something back to society. By helping disadvantaged young people raise their educational standards we are essentially investing in the future of our economy, ensuring the required skill sets of tomorrow are in sufficient supply, for everybody’s benefit”.
Jonathan Freeman, National Director of Mosaic added: “We are delighted to have Uzair’s skills on board to boost our outreach”.
